J.B. Pritzker’s RIFL Act (HB-3320) would all but end gun manufacturing and gun sales in Illinois. This is no exaggeration. This bill requires a new license to make firearms in Illinois — and the cost is ‘equal to the cost of gun violence in Illinois.’
The initial year’s estimate is $866,000,000 and it will go up from there!
Here’s what the bill actually does:
1. Charges gun manufactures tens of millions to obtain this license
2. Penalizes them $1,000,000 a month for not having it
3. Gives this money to criminals shot committing violent crimes
4. Creates a lifetime slush fund for these violent thugs
5. Punishes FFL’s who sell an unapproved gun $10,000 per sale
This bill was filed last session, but it’s gained dozens of cosponsors in the two weeks leading up to session. Three dozen Democrats are publicly backing this bill in the House already!
