UPDATE: Gun Owners Mobilize Against Springfield’s Glock Ban

Thu, Feb 26, 2026

Gun owners across Illinois are already responding in massive numbers.

Since our last alert, thousands of ILFA members have used our system to contact their lawmakers and demand they vote NO on SB-2652 — the Glock Ban bill just filed here in Springfield.

This legislation would ban the sale of Glock handguns and many other commonly owned semi-automatic pistols.

And politicians here in Springfield are noticing.

They closely track emails from constituents because they know those messages represent real voters in their districts. And when large numbers of voters contact them in an election year, it forces them to think twice about their votes.

But this fight is far from over.

SB-2652 is still active, and anti-gun Democrats are counting on gun owners to slow down so they can quietly move this legislation forward.

We cannot allow that to happen.

If you have not yet contacted your State Senator, you must do so immediately.

SB-2652 would allow Illinois to ban the future sale of Glock handguns and other similar pistols because they could be modified to shoot fully automatic.

Blaming gun owners for the actions of criminals is a standard tactic for JB Pritzker.

Punishing gun owners for what criminals do with guns is like punishing anyone who owns a car for what a drunk driver did.

No, this legislation isn’t about criminals. It’s about targeting gun owners like us — making it harder and harder to legally purchase and own firearms for self-defense.

JB Pritzker and anti-gun politicians know exactly what they are doing. They are trying to eliminate lawful gun ownership one step at a time.

Your email puts lawmakers on notice that gun owners across Illinois are watching and expecting them to oppose SB-2652.

Use our automated system right now to send your pre-written email directly to your State Senator.

P.S. SB-2652 would allow Illinois politicians to ban the future sale of Glock handguns and other commonly owned pistols. This is not hypothetical, it’s already law in California.

Send your pre-written email immediately and help us stop this bill before it advances.
