Aaron Dorr, Executive Director of Iowa Gun Owners

Aaron Dorr is a veteran political activist with nearly twenty years of experience fighting for the Second Amendment in state legislatures across Missouri, Iowa, New York, Georgia, Wyoming, Indiana, Illinois, and Washington State.

He has led successful legislative fights for Constitutional Carry, Stand-Your-Ground law, the Second Amendment Preservation Act, and bans on Red Flag laws. His efforts have helped pass pro-gun laws, stop radical gun control, and remove nearly 100 anti-gun incumbents from office.
In Illinois, Aaron Dorr is directing the efforts of the newly formed Illinois Firearms Association, which has quickly become the largest gun rights organization in the state. Dorr leads the legislative program and has a role in the organization’s legal battles.
Aaron specializes in grassroots lobbying, political copywriting, digital mobilization, direct response fundraising, and hard-hitting election programs. His work has helped build some of the most effective state-level gun rights organizations in America. As one of the Dorr Brothers, fighting for gun rights is in his blood.

In addition to legislative work, Aaron Dorr has led legal strategies challenging unconstitutional gun laws, including Wyoming Gun Owners v. Gray and NYS Firearms Association v. Steven James.

Aaron and his wife, Kristen, have been married for over twenty years and have eight children.
