We’re early in the legislative session here in Springfield — and Pritzker’s allies are moving hard on gun control bills.
House Democrats have filed House Bill 43, legislation that would begin the process of mandated civil liability insurance as a condition of obtaining for (or renewing) a FOID Card.
In other words, the government would require law-abiding gun owners to buy a state-approved insurance policy just to exercise a constitutional right.
This has nothing to do with safety.
It’s simply the next plank in Pritzker’s end goal of disarming law-abiding gun owners across the state.
